MIIDERA EXPERIENCE is operated by Miidera Temple (“we/our/us”).
This Privacy Policy (“the Policy”) sets forth how we handle users’ personal information in connection with the services provided on this website (“the Service”).
1. About Personal Information
For the purposes of this Policy, “Personal Information” means “personal information” as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan. This includes information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details, or other descriptions contained in such information.
It also includes information that can identify a specific individual by itself, such as data relating to physical appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, or insurer numbers on health insurance cards (collectively referred to as “Personally Identifiable Information”).
2. Methods of Collecting Personal Information
We may ask users to provide personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, and email address when using this website.
In addition, we may collect information related to transaction records or payment details that include users’ personal information from our business partners, including information providers, advertisers, and advertising distributors (“Business Partners”), with whom users have engaged in transactions.
3. Purposes of Collecting and Using Personal Information
We collect and use personal information for the following purposes:

- To respond to inquiries from users, including verifying the identity of the user
- To send emails regarding new features, updates, campaigns, and other information related to services currently used by the user, as well as other services provided by the Temple

- To identify users who violate the Terms of Use or who attempt to use the Service for fraudulent or improper purposes, and to refuse such users’ access to the Service
- To allow users to view, modify, or delete their registered information, and to review their usage status
- For purposes incidental to or related to the above purposes
4. Changes to the Purposes of Use
- The Temple shall change the purposes for which personal information is used only when it is reasonably recognized that the changed purposes are related to the purposes prior to such change.
- In the event that the purposes of use are changed, the Temple shall publish the revised purposes on this website.
5. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
- The Temple will not provide personal information to any third party without obtaining the prior consent of the user, except in the cases listed below or where permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan or other applicable laws and regulations:
(1) When it is necessary for the protection of a person’s life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
(2) When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
(3) When it is necessary to cooperate with a national government organization, a local government, or a party entrusted by such an organization or government to execute duties prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the individual may impede the execution of such duties
(4) When the following matters have been notified or made publicly available in advance, and the Temple has submitted a notification to the Personal Information Protection Commission:
- That the purposes of use include provision of personal information to third parties
- The items of personal information to be provided to third parties
- The means or methods of providing personal information to third parties
- That provision of personal information to third parties will be suspended upon request by the individual
- The method for accepting such requests from the individual - Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the recipient of personal information shall not be deemed a third party in the following cases:
(1) When the Temple entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information to another party within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use
(2) When personal information is provided as a result of a succession of business due to a merger or other reasons
(3) When personal information is jointly used with a specific party, and the following matters are notified to the individual in advance or made readily accessible to the individual: the fact of joint use, the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of the parties jointly using the information, the purposes of use by such parties, and the name or designation of the party responsible for the management of the personal information
6. Disclosure of Personal Information
- When an individual requests disclosure of their personal information, the Temple shall disclose such information to the individual without undue delay.
However, if disclosure would fall under any of the following circumstances, the Temple may decide not to disclose all or part of the information. In such cases, the Temple shall notify the individual of the decision without undue delay:
(1) When there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual or a third party
(2) When disclosure may cause significant hindrance to the proper execution of the Temple’s operations
(3) When disclosure would otherwise violate laws or regulations - Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, information other than personal information, such as historical information and characteristic information, shall not be disclosed in principle.
7. Correction and Deletion of Personal Information
- If a user believes that the personal information held by the Temple is inaccurate, the user may request the correction, addition, or deletion of such personal information (hereinafter referred to as “Correction, etc.”) in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Temple.
- If the Temple determines that it is necessary to comply with the request set forth in the preceding paragraph, the Temple shall, without undue delay, carry out the requested Correction, etc. of the relevant personal information.
- When the Temple has made such Correction, etc. pursuant to the preceding paragraph, or when it has decided not to carry out such Correction, etc., the Temple shall notify the user of such decision without undue delay.
8. Suspension of Use, etc. of Personal Information
- If an individual requests the suspension or deletion of personal information (hereinafter referred to as “Suspension of Use, etc.”) on the grounds that such personal information is being handled beyond the scope of the stated purposes of use, or that it was obtained by improper means, the Temple shall conduct a necessary investigation without undue delay.
- Based on the results of the investigation described in the preceding paragraph, if the Temple determines that it is necessary to comply with the request, the Temple shall, without undue delay, carry out the Suspension of Use, etc. of the relevant personal information.
- When the Temple has carried out the Suspension of Use, etc. pursuant to the preceding paragraph, or when it has decided not to carry out the Suspension of Use, etc., the Temple shall notify the user of such decision without undue delay.
- Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, if the Suspension of Use, etc. would involve substantial costs or is otherwise difficult to carry out, and if alternative measures necessary to protect the user’s rights and interests can be taken, the Temple shall implement such alternative measures.
9. Amendments to the Privacy Policy
- Except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations or in this Policy, the contents of this Policy may be amended without prior notice to users.
- Unless otherwise specified by the Temple, the amended Privacy Policy shall become effective upon its publication on this website.
